“ANA GranWhale,” the Virtual Travel Platform App, launches in Japan

On December 11, 2023, “ANA GranWhale,” a virtual travel platform that JP GAMES, Inc. was involved in the initial development and production of, was launched in Japan.

ANA Group's ANA NEO Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Mitsuo Tomita, President & CEO; hereinafter “ANA NEO”), and our company oversaw all aspects of the initial development of “ANA GranWhale”, utilizing our strengths in graphic expression and experience creation. We contributed to the virtual realization of “Omotenashi (hospitality)” from the customer's point of view, which is one of the core values of the ANA Group. As well, the application uses our RPG/Metaverse production middleware, “PEGASUS WORLD KIT.”
Hajime Tabata, the CEO of our company, served as the overall producer of “ANA GranWhale” and led the project by building corporate alliances and raising funds during the development phase.

We will be transitioning to a more technical support role for the operational phase after the launch in Japan, but we look forward to the mid- to long-term enhancement of “ANA GranWhale” under the leadership of ANA NEO, as well as the development of various services.

This is a virtual travel platform application that empowers users to enjoy more freedom and comfort by recreating wonderful destinations and cultures digitally. The service is comprised of V-TRIP (virtual travel space) and SkyMall (shopping space) services. In addition, the “ANA GranWhale” application offers “GranChips” that can be collected and exchanged for ANA miles, which can be used for real trips.
